Rwanda has taken a significant step forward in its digital health transformation with the successful certification of 35 professionals in the HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) Fundamentals Course  HELINA 2025 Edition. This achievement underscores the country’s growing leadership in digital health and its commitment to building a strong foundation for health data interoperability.

FHIR, developed by HL7, is the global standard for exchanging healthcare information securely and efficiently across systems. By training and certifying local professionals in this standard, Rwanda is investing in the future of interoperable health information systems that will improve service delivery, strengthen data-driven decision-making, and enhance patient care.
